BOD Meeting Minutes
April 1st, 2015
The meeting was called to order at 7:12pm
Board members present were: President: Leslie Smith, Secretary: Vandi Reeves, Directors: Debbie Moss, Faye Hall, & Katherine Rich-Elzig Absent were: Past President: Margaret Rich (excused), Vice President: Bill Melendez (excused) Treasurer Jim Sutton (excused) & Director Anne York Committee members present were: Barb DuBois, and Jenny Morgan
The March Minutes were presented by Vandi Reeves. A motion was made by Debbie Moss to accept the minutes, seconded by Katherine Rich-Elzig and approved by the board.
There was no treasurer’s report.
A Membership report was given by Jenny Morgan. Rancho currently has 88-1yr regular adult members (-2), 24-three year members (+1), and 4-lifetime members, Making 116 adult voting members, 25-youth members (-3) and 2-Associate members. For a total of 143 members.
A Youth report was given by Vandi Reeves. The youth had a successful Tack Cleaning Fundraiser at the Spring Horse Show and raised $559.79. We are still fundraising and sponsorships and donations are greatly appreciated. Check the website for upcoming youth meetings.
A Spring Horse Show report was given by Leslie Smith. The show went well and made a small profit. The sponsorship tablet winner was Andria Kidd of Andria Kidd Equine Appraisal. Thank you to all the volunteers and sponsors that helped to support the show.
A Fall Horse Show/HH2H report was given by Katherine Rich-Elzig. The show will be held October 3rd - 4th, 2015 at Galway Downs in Temecula. Plans are in the works to include Baroque horse classes.
Programs: Please contact Debbie Moss at DebraGMoss@msn.com with any ideas for guest speakers or to RSVP for a dinner meeting. A discussion was made about possibly changing our meeting venue.

A motion was made by Vandi Reeves to donate $500 to Green Acres Interactive Therapy, A local non-profit organization that utilizes Arabian horses in their therapy programs, seconded by Debbie Moss and approved by the board.
A motion was made by Debbie Moss to sponsor the Youth Championship prize for the Region One Youth Judging competition in the amount of $100, seconded by Faye Hall and approved by the board. (Director, Katherine Rich-Elzig has offered to personally sponsor the $75 Reserve Championship award.)
A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Faye Hall, seconded by Debbie Moss and approved by the board at 8:16pm.
